BARRETT, Michael Neil

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, January 28, 2003 Michael Neil Barrett, 63, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2003. He was born November 17, 1939 in Sioux City, Iowa. Michael is survived by his wife Shirley; daughters, Karena, Colleen, and Lisa Christine; sons, Patrick and Ivory; grandchildren Elora, Sara, Kimana, and Cooper; brothers, Dennis, Terry, and Tom; sister, Mary and many nieces and nephews. Michael served in the United States Navy Construction Battalion in Vietnam. Burial is January 31, 2003 at 12:30 p.m. at Arizona Veterans National Cemetery, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix followed by a reception at Faith Lutheran Church, 801 East Camelback Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Phoenix Veterans Hospital at 650 East Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
