The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, January 26, 2003 Irene Elizabeth Driscoll, 76 of Scottsdale, Arizona, died peacefully at home with her family at her side, on Jan. 24, 2003. She was the wife of Joseph E. Driscoll of 47 years. Mrs. Driscoll was born in Boston, Mass. on Aug. 7, 1926. She was a stewardess for American Airlines from 1952-1955. A resident of Scottsdale for 24 years. She raised seven children with deep devotion. Beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She is survived by husband Joseph; sons Martin, Alan, Joseph, James and daughters, Elizabeth, Susan and Melissa. Also sister, Mildred McDonald and eight grandchildren. She was a selfless, caring, witty and courageous "angel" and will be deeply missed by all. We love you Mom. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2003 at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E Bell Rd. Scottsdale, with Mass at St. Bernadettes Catholic Church, 16245 N. 60th St, 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2003.
