The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, January 28, 2003 John R. Hirt, 74, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away January 22, 2003. John was born in Beloit, Wisc. and moved to the Valley in 1969. John is survived by Joan, his wife of 48 years, daughter Lori Reardon of Phoenix, son-in-law Tom, and grandson Matthew. John retired from Motorola in 1991. A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, great friend and neighbor, John and his gregarious and always helpful nature will be missed by all that knew him. Friends and family are invited to celebrate John's life at the family home, Sunday, February 23rd, from 2-4 p.m.
