West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona February 3, 2009 [February 16, 1922 ~ January 30, 2009] Wanda Peterson 86, of Goodyear died Jan. 30, 2009, at Margaret T. Morris Center in Prescott. Mrs. Peterson was born in Herrin, Ill., and moved to Goodyear with her family in 1964. She was an active member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Louis Peterson. Mrs. Peterson is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Wischmeyer; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; five brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday and services at 10 a.m. at First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale, 1001 N. Central Ave., Avondale. She will be buried at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale following the services. Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel made the arrangements.
