West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona February 13, 2009 Jay Bruce Watrous, 61, of Goodyear died Feb. 8, 2009, in Peoria. Mr. Watrous was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Chester, Conn., to Phil and Lyle. He began college at the University of Arizona and finished at Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. He had an internship with the Hartford Courant before working for the Phoenix Gazette and Arizona Republic as a copy editor. He married Susan Milliron on Dec. 30, 2001. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Litchfield Park. He is survived by his wife, Susan; one daughter, Kathleen Courter; two sons, Matthew Courter and Gregory Courter; three sisters, Kathryn Ybarra, Cynthia Long and Marion Henstorf; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 400 S. Old Litchfield Road in Litchfield Park. Memorials may be made to St. Peters Montessori School, 400 S.
