West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona December 31, 2004 Lois May Talken, 81, of Goodyear died Dec. 26, 2004. Mrs. Talken was born March 25, 1923, in Sioux Falls, S.D. An Arizona resident and homemaker for 51 years, she was an active member of the Garden Club and Community United Methodist Church in Avondale, and a supporter of the Agua Fria Food Bank. Mrs. Talken is survived by one daughter, Shelly Fulks; one son, Roger Talken; one sister, Janice Crandall; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 2, 2005, at Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road in Goodyear. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 3, 2005, at the Community United Methodist Church, 104 W. Western Ave. in Avondale. Memorials may be sent to any veterans organization of the donor’s choice. Valley West Funeral Chapel made the arrangements.
