The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 2, 2003 Mona Lou Stowell Corp passed away on January 30, 2003 at her home in Scottsdale, AZ after a prolonged battle with cancer for the past 2 years. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 1, 1929. She graduated from Everett High in Lansing, MI and then college at Central Michigan University, where she received her degree in teaching. She taught school in Mt. Pleasant, Lansing and Saginaw, Michigan. She is survived by her husband Lamont L. Corp of Scottsdale, AZ, her son and daughter, Lamont L. Corp, II, Scottsdale Az and Melode L. Corp-Leavitt, Las Vegas, NW, her daughter-in-law Donna M. Corp, Scottsdale, AZ and son-in-law Jeffrey A. Leavitt of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by her mother, Berdena J. Stowell, of Midland, MI, her brother, Richard A. Stowell and his wife Linda Stowell, of Hope, MI, and niece Kristine Downs. She has 3 grandchildren, Marcella L. Corp of Detroit, MI, Lamont L. Corp, III of Battle Creek, MI, Candice R. Corp of Scottsdale, AZ and great grandson, Brecken C. Corp. She also has 2 step grandchildren, Courtney A. Leavitt and Rachel A. Leavitt, of Phoenix, Az. Funeral Service will be 1:30 PM, Sunday, February 2, 2003 with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale.
