The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 3, 2003 Avonelle Joanne Hoffmann, 79, of Mesa, AZ passed away Friday, January 31, 2003 In Mesa. She was born April 26, 1923 in Hardin County, Ohio. Mrs. Hoffmann was an I.C.U. Nurse and Homemaker and incredible mother. She was preceeded in death by her husband Thomas. Survived by her daughters, Peggy Brown and Esther Goff; Sons, William, James, Robert and Michael; sisters, Esther Athey and Isabelle Ladd; brothers Edwin Wolber and Jerry Wolber; also 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr. Mesa. Services 1 PM at the Mortuary.
