Patty Jane (Messer) Shoupp, 52, died Nov. 29, 2009, in Tucson from complications of an extended illness. She was born July 29, 1957, in Morgan County, Kentucky.
Patty loved to read and write poetry, keeping a journal of her poems since she was in high school. She also loved to sing, but the greatest joy of Patty's life was her son James.
She is survived by her son James (Amanda) Shoupp; grandson Trenton Shoupp; mother Violet (Wright) Messer; three sisters Barbara (John) Martin, Lindy Snyder and Betty (Maurice) White and numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. She loved them all.
She was preceded in death by her father Harvey Messer.
Vistoso Memorial Chapel of Oro Valley handled arrangements. She was interred at the Taylor cemetery.
