The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, December 08, 2009 Diane B. Bender, 52, of Chino Valley, Ariz., born Feb. 10, 1957 in California, passed away Dec. 5, 2009 in Prescott. A private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. A celebration of life will be at a later date. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, December 17, 2009 Diane Bender was born in Pasadena, Calif., on Feb. 10, 1957. She lived most of her life in Prescott, Ariz., where her daily activities included painting, gardening and craft projects. She was a dedicated mother who was blessed with the quality of being selfless. Though her passing on Dec. 5, 2009, brought much sadness, comfort is found in the fact that she is now happy in the hands of the Lord. She was a wonderful woman filled with the spirit of God, who loved her friends and family with all of her heart. The light of her bright sense of humor and smile will be missed. Diane is survived by her children, Tom, Jen, Tim Torkelson and Nicole Turner; her grandchildren, Alarik and Aria; her brothers, Nick Bender and Terry Bender; and her best friend, Chuck. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. Information provided by survivors.
