The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 4, 2003, p. B8 Maurene Fisher, 84, died May 31, 2003 in Wickenburg, Ariz. Maurene was born July 6, 1918 in Blue Springs, Mo. In 1940 Maurene married Hubert L. Fisher in Breckenridge, Mo. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and homemaker. Maurene loved to sew, write letters, dance and travel. In 1997 she and Hubert moved to Wickenburg from their home of 49 years in Kansas City, Mo. She is survived by her husband, Hubert, of Wickenburg; twin sister Laurene Lindgren of Rochester Hills, Mich.; daughter Carol of Hot Sulphur Springs, Colo.; son Lindall of Kent, Wash.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Joann. Visitation will be held Friday, June 6 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with funeral services to follow at the church at 11 a.m. Pastor James Longstreet will officiate. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Fisher's name to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements were handled by Wickenburg Funeral Home.
