The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, January 9, 2003 Thomas A. Gates, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on January 7, 2003. Tommy was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on August 2, 1912. He is survived by his loving wife, Vera; two cherished children, June Meyer and Tim Gage; and four wonderful grandchildren, Denise, Brian, Ryan and Erin. No formal services will be held.
