GEHR, Donald Joseph

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, January 9, 2003 Donald Joseph Gehr, 81, of Phoenix passed away January 7, 2003. He was born October 19, 1921 in Palisades, New Jersey. While serving with the U.S. Army in England during WWII, he met and married Mary Vaughn, and they moved to Connecticut after the war. There he worked for CBS Soundcraft for many years. In 1973, he moved the family to Phoenix, where he worked for Honeywell until his retirement. Survivors include daughters Sandra Kovalik, Deborah, Lynn and Diane; sons Donald A. and Jeffrey; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 10, at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix. C ontributions are suggested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
