Born in Darmott, Arkansas. Relocated to Phoenix in the early 60's from Oklahoma. He was retired from Greyhound Bus Services. Survivors include wife: Enzerlean Newton, two daughters, Shirlene Newton of Oklahoma and Angela Dagons of Phoenix, one son, Roy L. Newton of Phoenix, two grandsons, Tyrone Newton of Oklahoma and Jordan Price of Phoenix, one granddaughter Dejasharal Dagons and one son-in-law Willie R. Dagons both of Phoenix. Visitation, January 10, 2003 at Preston Funeral Home, 3800 S. Central Ave. from 6 til 8 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church 1401 E.
