HANSON, Idella

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 6, 2003 Idella Jones Hanson, 77, of Phoenix, embraced her Lord and Jesus Christ on February 1, 2003. She was the oldest child of the union between Calvin Jones and Clara Carter of Pawnee, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Leftrich Lee Hanson on February 3, 1995. Idella received her degree in elementary education from Langston University in 1953, No easy task in that period of time. She moved to Arizona in 1954 and was last employed by St. Mary's Elementary School and Parish. She is survived by one son Leftrich D. Hanson, one grandson, Daylin A. Hanson, loving daughter-in-law Patricia Ray, one great-grandson Joshua Leftrich Hanson and his loving mother Mary Alejandro. Five sisters Bernice Wilson, Mildred Smith, Lynell Jones, Ruth Casey and Evelyn Jones. Two brothers Harrison Jones and Bert Jones. Two half-sisters Glady Hall and Willa Mosley. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 5pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria. (Obit: Courtesy of Pat Wilson)
