Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, July 11, 1952 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR LEN HOGUE WHO WAS FATALLY INJURED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT JULY 4 Rev. Carl Adams, pastor of the Foursquare Church, conducted funeral services in the Wickenburg Chapel Sunday for Len Hogue, Morristown resident who was fatally injured in an accident on the Phoenix Highway within 100 feet of the County Highway camp late on the afternoon of July 4. Cremation followed in Phoenix. TRUCK OVERTURNS According to Highway Patrolmen, the truck in which Mr Hogue was riding alone went out of control and left the pavement, throwing him out and dragging him for several feet. He was dead when help arrived. It will be recalled that on May 15 the home and workshop of Mr and Mrs Hogue in Morristown was destroyed by fire. His was the only traffic fatality in this vicinity over the long July 4th weekend, bringing the traffic death toll for the Wickenburg Highway Patrol area to nine for this year. BORN IN CALIFORNIA Mr Hogue was born in Fresno, Calif., in 1904. He came to Arizona in 1928 and has been living in Morristown for the past three years. He was a miner and lapidarist. WIDOW SURVIVES Surviving are the widow, Mrs Gertrude Hogue; the mother, Mrs Margaret Hogue of Gardenia, Calif.; one son, Lonnie Hogue of Olympia, Wash.; and two brothers, Ralph Hogue of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Walter Hogue of Santa Jose, Calif.
