The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, January 9, 2003 Gayle Powell, loving mother and grandmother died on Saturday in the home of her caregiver and niece, Tiffany Liebich. Gayle Irene Powell, born: Belvidere, South Dakota, August 5, 1922, died: Phoenix, Arizona, January 4, 2003 of Alzheimer's disease. She attended Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. She and her husband of 59 years were affiliated with Wigwam/Totem/Webb's Department Stores from 1946-1985. She attended the Nazarene Church. Her husband, Homer Powell, her sister, Georgene Ortman, two daughters Joni Kinnerup and Sandra Lane, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive her. Services will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 1:00 p.m. Biltmore Church of the Nazarene: 5604 North 24th Street.
