Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ August 26, 1955, p. 5 Ruth Matlean Dies Suddenly In Nevada Mrs. Ruth Matlean, who served so long as the congenial waitress at the Horseshoe Cafe, died suddenly of a heart attack in Ely, Nev., August 15 while visiting relatives there. She was 54 years old. Funeral services and burial were in Ely which was her home town. She and her husband, Al (Slim) Matlean, moved from Wickenburg early this spring and had been residing on the 17 Ranch in Peeples Valley where Mr. Matlean is foreman.
