FIXLER, Wayne

Wayne Fixler, age 87, of Phoenix AZ, passed away December 15, 2000. Mr. Fixler was born September 13, 1913 in Rittman, Ohio. He was a World WWII veteran. Member of the 101st Airborne Division, Recipient of the Purple Heart and one of 6 survivors of the Battle of Bastone. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Fixler. He is survived by his son, Darrell Fixler and daughter-in-law Gail Fixler; Grandsons, Darrell Fixler Jr., Bill Fixler, Wayne Fixler and Dave Fixler; Great-grandson Zachary Fixler; sister, Faye Shankland; brother, Earl Fixler. Visitation December 19, 2000 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary. Services December 20, 2000 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Arizona Humane Society. The Arizona Republic December 19, 2000.
