Winterset Madisonian, Winterset, Iowa February 1979 Frank L. Rogers Services Held Funeral services were held Saturday, March 3, at 2 p.m. for Frank L. Rogers, 84, who passed away Feb. 28, 1979 at his home in Tucson, Arizona where he had lived since 1951. He was born July 15, 1894 in Monroe township of Madison County, Ia., the son of James H. and Mary Thomson Rogers. He was married to Hazel Silverthorn, also of Monroe Twp., on December 20, 1916. Survivors include his wife Hazel of Tucson; their daughter, Dorine (Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Westerly) of Indianola; two grandchildren, Larry Westerly of Des Moines and Janet Swearingen of Indianola; two great grandsons and five step great-granddaughters; and one sister, Mildred Smith of Winterset. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ed of Morgan, Minn.; two sisters, Ruth of rural Lorimor, Maude and a brother, Vern, of Lorimor; also his twin brother, Freddie, who died in infancy. Officiating at the services was Rev. Richard S. Jensen at Overtons Funeral Home at Indianola, Iowa. Burial was at Moon Cemetery south of Macksburg.
