BABBITT, Kenneth L.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 12, 2003 Kenneth L. Babbitt age 86, of Mesa, Arizona passed away Saturday February 8, 2003 surrounded by His loved ones. Ken was born on February 27, 1916 in Groton, SD and moved to Seattle, Washington in 1935. He worked for Webster Brinkley and served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He worked for Star Machinery and served as a trustee for the Teamsters Union until his retirement in 1976. After retiring Ken enjoyed fishing and gardening and he wintered in Mesa AZ where he enjoyed activities at Venture Out. Ken was a member of Angola Elks Lodge #2398, Angola Moose Lodge #1568, Angola American Legion & VFW Post 7202. Ken was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 1984. He is survived by his loving and devoted daughters Babetta (Ed) Rossbach and Joyce (Stuart) Black-Swenson, his loving companion Marilyn Dunten and her loving family, three grandchildren Micah Black, Julie Molin, Edward K. Rossbach, four siblings Bernice Awmiller, Dick Babbitt, Doris Patterson, & Rex Babbitt, and many loving nieces, nephews, & friends. Funeral Services will, be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday February 12, 2003 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel 6747 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa, AZ. Interment will be at Riverton Crest Cemetery in Seattle, WA.
