GARRETT, Marian

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 12, 2003 Marian McKale Garrett, 77, of Coolidge, Arizona, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2003. Mrs. Garrett was born July 27, 1925 in Tucson, Arizona. She was a University of Arizona graduate and a varsity tennis player during college. She was a Kappa Kappa Gamma as well as a member of the Chapter S Peo Sisterhood, and the Women's Auxiliary at the American Legion. After graduating from college, she taught English, Drama and Physical Education at both Florence and Coolidge High Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ruth Conway of Arizona. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jim Garrett, Sr.; three daughters, Lynn Barrows, Nancy Garrett and Terri Garrett all of Coolidge; one son and daughter in law, Jim Garrett, Jr. and Lisa Garrett of Coolidge; one sister, Betty Thomas of Tucson; five grandchildren, Michael Barrows, Matt Cockrill, Charlie Garrett, JD Garrett and Christine Palacios. Memorial service, 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at the Community Presbyterian Church, 179 N. 3rd St., Coolidge, AZ 85228.
