Firmer Hendricks Homsher, Jr. of Peoria, AZ and Creede, CO passed away on February 9, 2003.
Born September 17, 1918 in Indianapolis, IN. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth (Wells) Homsher, daughter, Barbara Mahon, and sons Jack (Donna) Homsher, and Bob (Judy) Homsher, as well as seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Firmer served his country in World War II as a naval machinist, returning to Indianapolis, he became a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lawrence, IN and worked for Borden Dairy for 23 years. In 1970, he and his wife re-located to Phoenix, AZ where he worked for Dallas Smith Transport until his retirement in 1981.
There are no services planned. A private memorial service will be held mountainside near Creede, CO for family members during the summer.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656.
