STERRETT, C.R. (Dick)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 12, 2003 C.R. "Dick" Sterrett, 81 years, of Sun Lakes, AZ, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2003. Dick was retired from the Air Force as well as the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sun Lakes. He was ordained as a Deacon on December 26, 1976 in the First Baptist Church of Chandler. Dick loved to feed the birds and to fish the surrounding lakes of the valley and the White Mountains for over 50 years. He was the widower of Jessie Geneva Sterrett. They were married for 52 loving years. He was the loving father of De Steret, Earl W. Sterrett, and Deborah Colvin. He is also survived by 3 sisters Juanita Etter, Elsie Fowler, Bernice Langstraat, and 3 brothers, Donald, Everett, and Bernard Sterrett. He was the loving grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 3. Dick was a caring neighbor to all in need. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 11am, Valley of the Sun Mausoleum Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
