TERRY, Paltha Sue

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 12/18/2009 Paltha Sue Terry, 69, of Globe, died in Snowflake Dec. 16, 2009. She was born in San Mateo, Calif., April 7, 1940, to Robert E. and Minnie Hicks Phillips. From 1958 to 1960, she served as a nurse in the U.S. Women's Army Corps. She spent the remainder of her working life as a cosmetologist. Paltha had many interests in her life. She loved crocheting, knitting, traveling and camping. She is survived by three sisters; Clara Petty of Taylor, Retha Muder of Shumway and Frances Ashford of Kodiak, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents and both grandparents William and Sarah Riley, as well as Frank and Frances Hicks. She was also preceded by brother Gene Phillips. No formal services will be held. Arrangements were handled by Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor.
