Eastern Arizona Courier, Safford, Arizona Wednesday, December 16, 2009 Charles "Chuck" J. Hansen, 84, of Pima passed away Dec. 11, 2009, in Tucson. Chuck was born Sept. 6, 1925, in Richfield, Utah, to Charles and Lillian Hansen. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Aleutian Islands and received several medals. He enjoyed bow hunting, fishing and working. Chuck was a loving husband, father and a good provider for his family. Chuck worked for the copper mines, but most will remember him operating the Pima Bar along with his wife, Floydeen. Charles "Chuck" J. Hansen He is survived by his wife, Vernelle Hansen; children, Richard, Randall, Charla, Alan and Toni; stepchildren, Earlyn, Craig, Ann, Eric, Angela, Hank, Melanie, Mark and Jan; and numerous grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Lillian Bullock and Mace Hansen. Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Floydeen Hansen; parents, Charles and Lillian Hansen; and wife, Beverly Hansen. Graveside services will be conducted Wednes-day, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Pima Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended at www.caldwellfuneralchapel.com.
