Billy Tom Jenkins passed away at the age of 72 Monday morning, Jan. 6th, 2003. He was born in Bonham, Texas on Feb. 9th, 1930 to John (Tom) and Myrtle Jenkins and lived many years of his life in Lubbock, Texas.
Billy Tom was proud of serving as an officer of the New Mexico State Police and afterward spent most of his work-life in the security field.
Pops, as his grandchildren fondly called him, was preceded in death by both parents and his youngest son, Danny.
He leaves behind a sister Peggy (Anderson) of Lubbock, Texas; two sons, Jon of Cave Creek, Az. and Steve of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren (Jonathan, Miranda, Brittney and Jordan); as well as the special relatives and special friends that blessed his life by sharing theirs with him.
There will be no local service, however graveside services are pending in Redondo Beach, Calif.
Donations may be made in his name to the local Hospice of your choice if you so desire.
And finally, as was Billy Tom's wish for it to be written... Vaya con Dios!
