The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, January 15, 2003 Carl Edward Reehl, 86, of Prescott Valley, Arizona passed away January 11, 2003. Military service: WW II Army Veteran. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at 3 p.m. at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Hwy 69, Prescott Valley Az. Reehl, age 86, went to be with the Lord, Jan. 11, 2003, leaving love behind with his wife, Catherine Lee Reehl at Mountain View Manor in Prescott. As well as his two daughters, Sue Ellen Gross and Cathy Ann Davis; two sons-in-law, Hans W. Gross and Dell Davis; grandchildren, Laurie Sue Dukes (Gross) Renee Lyn Gross, Lisa Charee Miller, Jason Andrew Davis, Dionna Michelle Farbstein, Andrew Seth Farbstein, and Jaime Del-Scott Davis; great-grandchildren, Robbie and Forrest Church; Tommy, Sarah, and Katelyn Miller; Maheny, Tanner, Quinn Wagner; Parker and Alexandra Davis; Breanna and Hannah Farbstein; grandsons-in-law, David Dukes and Matthew Miller; granddaughters-in-law, Wendi Farbstein and Tricia Davis. Carl played the guitar in a jazz band the "Knights" and met his wife Catherine who played the piano and sang in Dayton, Ohio. They married July 29, 1938. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1951 beginning a new life as a photographer in his own business, "Wallace Studios" retiring in 1977 and moving to Prescott Valley. He loved his two daughters, Sue and Cathy Ann and raised them to be kind and loving women. Every grandchild was his favorite and he enjoyed teaching and sharing with them about his favorite hobbies: Ham Radio, computers, fishing, chord organ, percussion instruments, model airplanes, rockets, astronomy, building giant telescopes, gardening and sharing their love for dogs. Carl was President of Foreign Car (FCCA) of America and American Car Club, racing his 1960 Austin Healey Sprite and MG 1100 in the Jerome Hill Climbs, Sedona Fun Runs, Inner City Gymkanas, as well as the Mel Larson's and Manzanita Speedways. He was a Realtor for Red Carpet Realty. Carl always stayed active and interested in people and demonstrated love and fairness without one ounce of prejudice to all people of all cultures, races or religions.
