Philip Leo Vadeboncoeur, age 76, passed away on January 9, 2003 in his sleep at the Life Care Nursing Home located in Sandpoint, Id.
He was a WWII veteran in the Army.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan he married his wife Bertha and moved to many locations in the Midwest.
Most of his adult life he worked for Heatbath Corporation located in Chicago, Ill.. He was a loving husband to Birdie Vadeboncoeur (deceased) and father to James (Kathy), Heron, Mt., Michael (Sharon), Chicago, Ill., Mary (Clark Williams), Heron, Mt., Patricia (Steven Ashfield), St. Charles, Ill., Roger (Kris) (deceased), and John (Patricia), Lisle, Ill.. He was also a proud grandfather to Sara, Clarissa and John Vadeboncoeur, Heron, Mt., David Vadeboncoeur, Chicago, Ill., Kari and Philip (Mokena), and Kate Williams, Heron, Mt. He has many brothers, Joseph, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Gerard (Lou) Las Vegas, Nev.; Paul (Gen) Knoxville, Tenn.; his sisters Jean, deceased (Don Sinke) Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Kate (David Bolot) Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was also an uncle to many nieces and nephews who are scattered across the country and too numerous to mention.
He accomplished many things in his long life, but appreciated family members more than anything else. Please remember him as you last saw him.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 17th at 10 a.m. in Scottsdale, Az. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church located at 11300 N. 64th Street with burial immediately following at Paradise Memorial Gardens, located at 9300 E. Shea Blvd also in Scottsdale.
