BARNETT, Fred Maurice

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 13, 2003 Fred Maurice Barnett, 79, of Mesa, died February 11, 2003 in Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Barnett was born in Stuart, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in 1947. He was a retired chemical engineer and served as 1st Lt. as Artillery specialist in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife Patty Barnett, 3 sons, Dave Barnett of Valley Grove, West Virginia, Gary Barnett of Santa Cruz, California and John Barnett of Apache Junction, Arizona. 3 daughters, Betsy Modar of Wheeling, West Virginia, Vicky Miller of Mesa, Arizona and Rhonda Moersch of Mesa, Arizona. 3 sisters, Elaine Barnett of Lindon, Iowa, Dorothy Cathy of Des Moines, Iowa and Shirley Saligher of Fort Dodge, Iowa. He also has 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Mountain View Chapel, 7900 East Main St., Mesa.
