Alfred R. Austen, 51, beloved Son, Brother, Uncle and friend passed from this world suddenly on Saturday, August 24, 2002 in Prescott Arizona.
Born 1951 in Linz, Austria moving with his Father and Mother to United States as an infant in 1952 settling in New Jersey along with other relatives.
In youth he discovered talents in music and sports where he later excelled as an athlete holding track and field records at Edison High School, Edison, NJ. Struck by numerous illnesses at an early age he recently regained the ability to become self-sufficient just prior to his death. He earned respect and love from those he came to know as a man of faith and kindness.
He is survived by his Father, Mother and Stepfather of Prescott, AZ: Theresa and George Bozzetti, Sister and Family of Edison, NJ: Theresa, Michael, Tracey, Stefan, Brother and Family of Tempe, AZ: Robert, Nicolette, Ian, Stepbrother and Family of Aurora, CO: George Jr., Tonya, Clayton, Angelina.
Alfred was prepared for his final journey by Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott, AZ 86303 with final services performed Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, by Pastor Mike Cook of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 400 S. Virginia St., in Prescott. His Mother requests that donations be made c/o Alfred Austen in lieu of flowers to offset funeral costs.
