Mrs. Mary M. Ford, age 74, of Phoenix, died on Aug. 24, 2002. She was a native of Many, Louisiana, and retired seamstress. Survivors include: son, Elmer Scott; 3 sisters, Irene Ellis, Paulene Ford and Ruthie Mae Clarkston; 2 brothers, Rev. Homer Gipson and Isaac Gipson; one grandson and a host of friends. The family will receive family on Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, from Universal Memorial Center, 1100 E. Jefferson St. Services Saturday at the Greater Paradise Church of God In Christ, 4655 S. 16th St. Interment at Greenwood Memory Lawn. The Arizona Republic August 30, 2002
