JUILFS, Marvin (Shorty) J.


Marvin (Shorty) J. Juilfs, a retired plumber by trade, 66, of Mesa, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 27, 2002. Born March 2, 1936 in Camp Point Illinois, Marvin married Geneva Flesner on Feb 5, 1956 in Golden IL. In July 1971 he moved his family to Mesa AZ. Preceded in death by his parents, Cobus D. & Hannah J. Juilfs; and a brother, Herman Juilfs, he is survived by his wife of 46 yrs, Geneva; 3 daughters: Gwen Pennington of Mesa AZ, Lisa Heintz of Roseville CA; Cherie Rosales of Chandler AZ; 5 sons: Kevin of Eloy AZ, Dale of Las Vegas NV, Brian of Gilbert AZ and Tim & Greg of Mesa AZ; brother, Lawrence Juilfs of Golden IL; sister, Marylee Schutte of LaGrange MO; 23 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. Marvin was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend; he will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him. His hobbies included bowling, fishing, doing odd side jobs, and baseball games (his favorites were the Diamondbacks and Chicago Cubs). Some of his favorite programs were game shows, "Walker, Texas Ranger", "Touched by an Angel", and "Judge Judy". A special thanks goes to Tammy Pensyl and Neely Ray Hospice Home for our Father's care. Memorial Services at Word of Grace Church, 655 E. University Dr, Mesa on Sat., Aug. 31, 2002 with a reception following.
