LIBBY, Barbara Elaine

Barbara Elaine Synhorst Libby, April 30, 1953-August 18, 2002. Daughter of the late Elaine Schuhler Synhorst and the late Gerald E. Synhorst. Survived by her brother Paul Synhorst of Groton, CT; her sister Pat Synhorst (Frank Longobardi) of Glastonbury, CT; her brother John Synhorst (Margaret) of Tucson, AZ, her six nieces and nephews, and former husband Gregg Libby. Barbara also leaves many dear friends, including Valerie Calais, Mona Reed, and Greg Bednorz. Barbara graduated with a BA from Clark University (Worchester, MA) in 1975 and from Boston College in 1980 with an MSW. Barbara worked as a therapist and social worker from 1975 through 1992 for the State of Massachusetts, the Valley Medical Center in Fresno, CA and other organizations. At the time of her death, Barbara was active in the local CFS support group and the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Barbara's name to the CFS Association of Arizona, P.O. Box 15234, Scottsdale, AZ 85267-5234. A celebration of Barbara's life was held Wednesday, August 21, 2002, at Good Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church 6502 E. Cave Creek.
