PIFER, Gerald D. (Jerry)


Gerald D. Pifer, "Jerry" to his friends, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, of Mesa, AZ, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2002 from a stroke. He was born on February 2, 1946 in Santa Monica, CA. Jerry spent 24 years in the United States Air Force serving all over the world. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Business Administration/Economics from LaVerne University followed by a Master's in Business Administration from Webster University. Jerry leaves a satisfying job at the Department of Economics Security, Business and Finance Division with many good friends and co-workers. He is survived by is wife Karie, and two children; Kenneth M. Pifer (Heidi) of Chandler, AZ, and Amber Powell (Derrick) of Moreno Valley, CA. He is also survived by his mother Kathleen M. Nelson of Mesa, a brother James F. Pifer Sr. (Ann), and his sister Joyce Luttrell (Neale) both of Maryland. Jerry was a grandfather to Austin J.; Morgan L. and Braydon A. Pifer. Visitation Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Bunker's Desert View Chapel, 9702 E. Apache Trail, Mesa, AZ.
