MCCUIN, Lawrence Ray (Larry)


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 13, 2003 Lawrence Ray "Larry" McCuin, Jr., 51, passed away February 1, 2003. He was born on August 13, 1951, in Fort Benning, Georgia, and moved to Arizona as a child. He was a graduate of Phoenix Union High School and of Phoenix College and served four years in the United States Navy. He is survived by a son Brian and daughters Denise, Melanie and Megan, mother Clara, brothers Louis and Linnard, sister Annie and many nieces and nephews. Larry was a gifted artist and writer. He also enjoyed listening to jazz and reading, especially science fiction. While Larry had a strong work ethic, his idea of a really great day would be to have a good book in one hand and a fishing pole in the other. Always ready with a joke or a smile or a shoulder to lean on, Larry will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends and acquaintances. Memorial service will be held at Botimer Mortuary, 1641 E. Jefferson St., Friday, February 14, 2003, at 11:00a.m. (Obit: Courtesy of Pat Wilson)
