Marion Wells Hoover, a loving wife and mother, of Mesa, Arizona, died Sunday, January 12 in Gilbert, Az. Born in Philadelphia, Penn., she lived nearly all of her life in Arizona.
Survived by daughter, Betty Hoover Smith (Charles) of Chandler; son, John Clark Hoover, Jr. (Lou Ann) of Nutrioso, Az.; five grandchildren, Kristen French, Shauna Miller, Scott Smith, Laura Davis, and Stewart Smith; ten great-grandchildren also survive.
Predeceased by husband John C. Hoover, Sr. on Dec. 7, 1979.
Memorial Services 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 322 N. Horne, in Mesa, Az.

Marion Lovel Wells Hoover
She was born June 25, 1910 and was a life long Arizonian. She married John Clark Hoover July 16, 1931. She attended Kenilworth & Monroe Elementary and Phoenix Union High School in Phoenix, University of Arizona and was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was active in civic, church and community affairs inclucing Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Atlar Guild, Desert Club of Mesa and a docent at Mesa southwest Museum. Marion spent many summer vacations in alpine with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband John.
She is survived by her children Betty (Charles) Smith of Chandler, John C. jr. (Lou Ann) Hoover of Nutrioso, grandchildren Scott Smith, Kristen French and Shauna Miller and 10 greatgrandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 10 am Saturday, January 18th at St.Marks Episcopal Church in Mesa.
Private internment will be in Green Acres Cemetary in Scottsdale.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Neeley Ray Hospice House, Gilbert; Trinity Cathedral Guild, Phoenix or Mesa Southwest museum docents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buelar Mortuary of Chandler.
