The Fountain, Welch, Arrowsmith Clan mourn Phyllis J. Arrowsmith, born March 12, 1934 as Phyllis Janet Fountain, who passed on at 1:50 A.M. Mountain Standard Time on February 8, 2003 and will continue on for the next years in the arms of the Lord and with those who will follow her, especially her loving husband Mark Arrowsmith of Phoenix, Arizona, sons Norris (Debra) Welch of Texas, Jonathan (Debby) Welch of Maine, Lincoln (Joyce) Welch of Washington State, daughters Katrina Reines of Virginia, Delores Decoto of Washington State, Ingrid (Ronnie) Towne of Maine and Darla (Steve) Hill of Montana, twelve of her thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild, and sisters Myrtle Cousens of Maine and Betty Sepulvado of Louisiana and their families.
Mum, born and raised in Maine, attended Kennebunk High School and obtained degrees from the University of Maine. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1980. This is where she met her husband Mark and they were married September 21, 1985. Throughout her time here, always with a bountiful intellect and bounding energy, Mum pursued studies in many subjects diverse as all of us that ranged from Astrology to Zen and everything in between. She continues to teach us lots and we love you always and forever, Mum.
The family extends special thanks to her caring friends and supporters and to Hospice of the Valley (Phoenix), an organization made up of very special people with wonderful gifts.
A service and gathering will be held July 12, 2003 in Kennebunk, Maine to bring people together in celebration of her life. Particulars will be announced at a later date.
In remembrance of our Wife, Mumma, Mum, Grandma, Family, Friend, Acquaintance please let us all remember to extend kindness and gratitude as we journey along the way.
