PURSEL, Robert H.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, January 16, 2003 Robert H. Pursel, age 68, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away on January 12, 2003. He was born in Nebraska City, Neb. on January 13, 1934. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sargeant at Luke Air Force Base in 1974. He graduated from Phoenix College in 1977. After his Air Force service, he was employed by Arizona Dept. of Revenue. He is survived by Rose Marie, his wife of 48 years, as well as daughter, Cheryl Alvis (John) of Austin, Tx. and son Steven (Susan), of Marysville, Wash. Mr Pursel was grandfather to Matthew Pursel, Jeremy, Jason and Joel Alvis. Mr. Pursel is survived by a brother, Lynn E. Pursel and his son, Andy Pursel of Nebraska. He is preceded in death by his parents, H.E. and Gertrude Pursel and sister, Marilyn Foglesong. Her children are daughter, Nan Cargill and son, Lynn Foglesong and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 1:00 p.m., Community Church of Joy, 21000 N. 75th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85038-9622. Final resting will be in Nebraska. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
