George Blumenthal of Scottsdale died June 23, 2002. He was 81. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Arizona from Miami in 2001.
He was a musician and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the South Florida Musicians Association.
Survivors include his wife, Regina; daughter, Marcia Feinstein of Tempe; brother, Jack of New York; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were held at Temple Beth Israel, with Cantor Mikhal Shiff-Matter officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary. Contributions are suggested to Rosie's House, A Music Academy for Children, 527 W. Pima St., Phoenix 85003.
