The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 14, 2003 Lucille (Boyle) Rose, formerly of New Port Richey, Florida and Hammond, Indiana, died on February 2, 2003, at Springdale West Nursing Home, Mesa, Arizona. She was born November 22, 1914, in Lakeland, Florida, to William and Pearl (Sandberg) Boyle. She married Elmer H. Rose on March 3, 1934, and he preceded her in death in 1996. Surviving is a brother, Harvey Boyle, Tucson, Arizona; three daughters, Patricia (Alan) Rutherford, Miami, Florida, Geraldine Thayer, Chandler, Arizona, and Barbara (Darrell) Wolfe, Findlay, Ohio; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. A brother, Paul Boyle, preceded her in death. Mrs. Rose had worked at Edward C. Minas for 25 years before retiring. She was a charter member of Ridge Methodist Church, Munster, Indiana. Private memorial services were held in Chandler, Arizona on February 8, 2003. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
