The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, January 05, 2010 Gloria M. Harrel died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Family Hospice Care, the Crossing, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Springfield, Mass. Gloria was 77 years old. A celebration of her life will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at the Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, corner of Navajo and Valley Drive in Prescott Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Gloria's name to The American Cancer Society, 2724 E. Lakin, Suite #9, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel assisted the family with final arrangements. Harrel 9/3/1932 - 12/4/2009 Gloria's last night on this Earth was Dec. 24, 2009. Her earthly body fought its last fight and freed her spirit. Gloria (Glo) was an audacious woman that showed no fear in her life. She always tackled life's challenges head on and wasn't afraid to make life changing decisions when she decided it was for the best. She was an inspiration for those that had the honor of sharing life with her. She loved with her whole heart and will forever be missed. She touched the lives of so many as a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Aunt, Grandmother, and Friend. Of these she felt her greatest contribution in life was in being a good Mother, and there were none better. She will live on through her Children, Grandchildren and all that love her. Her memory will be forever cherished by her Husband Gordon, Sister Eleanor Thornsberry, and her Brother Norman Levesque. Her children, Elaine, Joseph, Daniel, Lisa, Lori and Michael. We Celebrate and give Thanks for all that she instilled in our lives and the endless blessing of her love.
