BLACKMAN, Velma

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, January 17, 2003 Velma Blackman, 92, of Tempe, Arizona passed away Jan. 11, 2003. She was born Oct. 16, 1910 in Globe, Az. She married William (Blackie) Blackman in 1931. He preceded her in death in 2001. They lived in Miami, Az. where Velma taught school for 40 years and helped Blackie with their Richfield service station. I n 1974 they retired and moved to Tempe to be near their two daughters Louise Bolton (Robert) and Beth Allen (Harry) and four grandchildren, Lysiane, Christi, Jason and Bill. Velma also leaves three great-grandchildren. Brendon, Kyle and Kate. There will be no public services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Center for Habilitation (T.C.H.) 215 W.
