HALLIWELL, Betty

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, January 17, 2003 Betty Allen Halliwell, 78, a resident of Prescott, Arizona for 40 years died in Prescott on Monday, January 13th. She was born in Duquesne, Penn. on September 4, 1924 to Della and Lee Allen. Betty earned her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1947. After graduation she continued to work there until moving to Prescott in 1962. She worked for many years at the V.A. Hospital in Prescott and she has been a major contributor to the Humane Society and her Alma Mater. Mrs. Halliwell is survived by her brother, Herbert Clarence Allen and his wife, Lavina of Prescott; sister, Loretta Davis of Long Beach, Ca. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in March of 2001. Private family services today (Friday) with interment at the Mt. View Cemetery in Prescott.
