SAMUELS, Abraham

Abraham Samuels 84, of Tempe Arizona, passed away on Saturday June 29th, 2002. Mr. Samuels was a loving husband and father. Abraham and Gertude were married on July 2, 1945, and had celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. He leaves behind his loving wife Gertrude, his children; Stephanie Horblit (Mark) of Kansas City, Kansas, Lois Shugarr (Kevin), of Chandler, Arizona, Richard Samuels (Kim) of Tucson, Arizona. He also leaves behind three granddaughters, a grandson, and three great grandchildren. Abraham retired from being a proud owner of a retail store. After retirement he went to work for the Arizona Republic as a sales man, where he made many friend in the communities that he served. Abraham was a Veteran of the Army Air Corps, and a valued member of his community. A private family service will be held, however, donation may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Mr. Samuels will be missed by all. Arrangements by Valley of the Sun Mortuary, a Dignity memorial provider. Published in The Arizona Republic July 02, 2002.
