KIRKENDALL, Lloyd, Jr.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, January 19, 2003 Mr. Lloyd Kirkendall, Jr., age 54, of Mesa, Arizona, died Jan. 13, 2003. A native of Gary, Indiana and Graduate of Indiana State University, U.S. Army and Navy Veteran, Air Borne Ranger, and Green Beret. Upon leaving active duty he served as a Reserve Staff Sgt. until 1993. His list of service also includes; City of Gary Police Dept., U.S. Postal Service, Inland Steel and Stadium Mgr for the Chicago Cubs. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Renee Agent and Karen Upshaw, one son, Braon Wesson; nine brothers and sisters; Henry, James, Raymond, Delores and Alma Kirkendall. Gerald Harbor, Mable V. Graham, Deborah Williams and Stacey Banks; a host of other relatives and friends, grandparents, nieces, nephews to numerous to name. Memorial Services will held on Tuesday evening, Jan. 21, 5:30 p.m. from the First Institutional Baptist Church, 1141 E. Jefferson St. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
