HENSLEY, Lewis Martin


Lewis Martin Hensley 81, of passed away June 30, 2002 at his home with family. He retired as a Captain with the Phoenix Fire Dept. and served with honors in WWII, 1st Calvary, 2nd Brigade Recon. U.S. Army. Lew was a father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his son, David Lewis Hensley; a special nephew, Jim McShane; his daughters, Kathy Bleicher and Carol Williams; sister, Pearl McShane; grandchildren Decker Williams IV, Corie Mecsey, Tara Bleicher and Holly Hensley; great grandchildren Maya, Decker V.Makenna, Nicholas and Milo; nieces, Patsy Gagliano, Susan Ronn,Marianne McShane, Sheryl See,Ginger McKinnon and Cindy Seaver; nephews Barney, Michael, Frank & Tim McShane, Tom & Tim Hensley, Archer, Tom and Rick Seaver. All their extended families and dear friends, Alma Codey, Marion Seaver, Edward & Virginia Seaver, Archer & Betty Seaver, Chuck Seaver, Tom Fink, Don Parks, Dorrall & Florence Morrison, Chief Awe and many men of the Phoenix Fire Dept. Visitation Thursday, July 4th, 2002, Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix. Service Friday, July 5, 2002 at Hansen Mortuary with burial at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions to be made to the Phoenix Fire Relief Fund, 150 S. 12th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034.
