The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 16, 2003 William R. Jacka, Loving husband, father, grampa, brother and friend passed away on Saturday February 8, 2003 at 8:45 A.M. He was born on February 24, 1942 at 8:35P.M. at Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Althea "Thea" (nee Dawes), daughter Kellie Jacka Colley, son in law Barry Colley, grand-son Zachary William Colley, son William J Jacka "JR", daughter Kassie Estrada, brother Jeffery Jacka, sister Nancy Jacka Vanderbeck of New Jersey, mother Gertrude Crawford. Bill and his family moved to Glendale in November 1978, opened Coast To Coast Trophy Supply Co. in January 1979. In 1992 he opened his first restaurant, Jacka's Alley Deli. 1993 he opened Jacka's Back Alley Martini Grille. All located in Downtown GIendale. He will be missed and lovingly remembered. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday February 17, 2003 at Jacka's Alley Rest. 5739 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale 4P.M.-8 P.M.
