Natalie Ryan Maloney, 93 passed away February 12, 2003 at home with her family.
Born in 1909 in New York City, NY to Police Inspector Thomas Ryan and Emily McManus Ryan. She married Thomas Maloney in 1934. He preceded her in death in 1960.
She is survived by two children Meredith (Mary) Malone, and James R. Maloney, her two sisters, Emily and Lucille. Her eldest son, Thomas Maloney , Jr. died in 1983. She is also survived by three grandchildren Catherine Adler (Alan), Margaret Preston (Brad), and Joseph (Sepp) Sprietsma (Lisa), 5 great grandchildren, Catelyn, Meaghan, Bryson Preston, Zachery Adler, Maria and Elise Sprietsma.
Natalie was a graduate of Hunter College in NY and Fordham University where she obtained her Masters degree. She taught second grade in the Washington School District for 20 years. In the early part of the century she greeted the iceman in the morning and the lamplighter in the evening, in mid century she saw a man walk on the moon and she welcomed the new century with enthusiasm.
She touched the lives of all of us with her wisdom, patience and humor. We will always miss you.
A Memorial Mass Celebration will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Casa Santa Cruz 7126 N. 7th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ.
