The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona February 16, 2003 Marjorie B. Shepard, 87, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away February 13th, 2003. Marge was born October 24, 1915 in South Hero, VT to Warren and Clara Bruleigh. Survivors include her daughter Shirley and husband Norman Dewey; her son William F. Davis and wife Sharon' 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Joseph F. Shepard, preceded her in death in 1994. Marge's career ranged from a secretary for Bell Aircraft Co. during WWII, to an executive secretary for the editor and publisher of the Eugene Register Guard in Eugene, OR. After retiring in 1958, she made her home in Arizona and Texas. She had many interests, including the Audubon Society, politics, painting, playing cards and the Phoenix Suns. Visitation on Wednesday, February 19th, from 7pm to 9pm with Rosary at 8:30pm, Tempe Mortuary, 405 E. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ. (480) 967-1643. Mass will be held at the Church Of The Holy Spirit, 1815 E. Gemini Dr., Tempe, AZ. Thursday February 20, 2003, at 9:30 a.m. Interment at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, our family requests donations be made to the Arizona Lung Association 102 W. McDowell Rd., Phx, AZ 85003 or Hospice of Arizona 2222 W.
